DIY Champagne Wall

Updated: Nov 25, 2022

I hosted a bridal dinner for my friend. After searching for a champagne wall and realizing one wasn't in budget to buy, decided I wanted to DIY one that's portable for easy transportation and could fit in my car.

Supplies:

  • Wood (I bought mine from Home Depot and they cut down to size)

  • Pencil

  • Paper

  • Rulers

  • Wood glue

  • Fake grass (bought from Home Depot off a roll near the carpet)

  • Drill

  • Wood dowels

  • Paint

  • Champagne flutes (the ones in the picture are plastic from Target)

Steps:

  1. Sand the wood board.

  2. Cut the dowels to about 3 inches long (this might change depending on how thick the board is and your champagne flutes.

  3. Paint the dowels.

  4. Paint the board. I used leftover paint from another house project.

  5. Create a template for where the wood dowels are going to be using the pencil, paper, and rulers. Making sure that the champagne stem can fit in between the width.

  6. Mark the wood dowel placement on the board.

  7. Drill the holes on the placement.

  8. Glue the grass to the board.

  9. Once the glue is dried, drill the holes through the board and the grass.

  10. Glue the dowels to the board with the long end sticking out of the grass.

  11. Enjoy your bubbly!
